There is always the potential to cause damage during tree surgery work, but personally I believe that a tree surgeon’s ability in protecting your property to minimise and eliminate this kind of damage is what defines them in terms of their professionalism.
What could go wrong?
Apart from the obvious things like felling or dropping branches onto buildings, plants, fences etc, more damage is probably caused by ground work activities. Dragging brash through narrow side alleys can damage service pipes or cables and painted walls can get scuffed. It’s almost inevitable that your lawn will get the odd divot. Oil and fuel spills will stain driveways and patio areas and can be very difficult to remove. Drain covers and curb stones can be damaged by trucks. Stray debris from the chipper could damage property. I could go on.
A risk assessment is vital
